Quality Improvement Framework
As the Deanery develops its role as a Commissioner, we have reviewed our quality management processes and developed a Quality Improvement Framework (QIF) to support our stakeholders within postgraduate medical and dental training throughout the London Deanery’s Educational Network.
The QIF replaces the Quality Management Manual and covers roles/responsibilities, governance and quality management processes. The structures and processes described are intended to drive up the standards of medical and dental education so that they exceed those mandated by the regulators (GMC/GDC).
As well as outlining the principles and processes which the London Deanery and its stakeholders are required to follow, the framework contains a number of interactive links to material from those bodies we work with to maintain a robust, transparent and evidence based approach to quality management. The guide will support all those involved with quality control activities within our educational network.
The guide will be subject to regular review and updates as the organisation of postgraduate medical and dental education and training develops over forthcoming years. If you have any feedback on this section of the website or content, or feel there are areas missing from the Framework that you would find useful, please do email us at qif@londondeanery.ac.uk and we will consider all suggestions received.
Further information and assistance on the Quality Improvement Framework may also be obtained by contacting a member of the Deanery’s Quality and Commissioning Team.
